WHAT IS PORCELAIN LAMINATED?

These applications, also called leaf porcelain, are porcelain leaves that are attached to the teeth by removing only a very small (0.3-0.7 mm) enamel layer from the front surfaces of the teeth. The pasted porcelain is also 0.3-0.7 mm (artificial nail) thickness.

HOW LONG IS THE LIFE OF THE LAMINA?

Although they are very thin, they are as durable as other porcelain crowns and can stay in the mouth for 7-12 years.

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF PORCELAIN LAMINATES?

Since very few cuts are made, it is the treatment that provides the aesthetics by protecting the tooth the most. It provides a perfect aesthetics since its light transmittance is very similar to natural teeth due to its being very thin and the lack of metal substructure.

WHAT ARE THE DISADVANTAGES OF PORCELAIN LAMINATES?

The physician and the laboratory should work very precisely with sufficient equipment. Their cost is higher than other porcelains.

CONDITIONS OF PORCELAIN LAMINES PREFERRED

Those who are dissatisfied with their front teeth, those with advanced coloring (tetracycline (a group of antibiotics) coloring),
Those whose front teeth are worn and broken,
Those with gaps between their teeth,
Patients with mild deformity and who do not prefer orthodontic treatment,
It is a valid alternative for teeth that cannot be whitened with the bleaching method.

WHAT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED WHEN USING PORCELAIN LAMINATES?

There is no special situation. It is sufficient to show the care shown to natural teeth also to laminates. It does not stain because it has a glass-like structure. It does not split because very strong adhesives are used; the patient can use it comfortably.
